26 April 2013 – In a deal valid until 30 June, FNB today added the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S4 to its range of smartphones along with connectivity, content and data in a deal worth over R6 000.
“New customers who switch to FNB can get the Samsung Galaxy S4 at a 16% discount with 24 months to pay. We have also included various data options in this deal to enable digital banking, and have included ‘voice’ to meet our client demand” says Kartik Mistry, Head of Smart Devices at FNB’s Core Banking Solutions.
Along with the most talked about Android handset of the year, new FNB customers who take up the Samsung S4 before the end of June 2013, will receive:
• 100 minutes p.m. x 24 months
• 100 SMSs p.m. x 24 months
• 100MB of data p.m. x 24 months
• 1GB AlwaysOn Wifi Connectivity x 24 months
• Samsung Hub Voucher (valued at R300)
• 35% discount on accessories (optional extra)
“FNB offers value of over R6 000 and also ensures that clients can connect as and when they want to” added Mistry.
The price for the Samsung S4 is R299 per month – with zero additional fees, interest or charges.
Existing FNB clients who have already enjoyed the benefits of free eBucks Rewards on Fuel, Airtime or Cheque Card swipes, can apply for the Samsung S4 before 30 June, and will receive a 35% discount on the phone cover.

I’m new to this forum and need your advice on a purchase. I am planning to purchase the Samsung Tab 3. I have seen various deals from:
– Vodacom – R299 (Includes 2 Gig night owl)
– Fnb – R245
– Telkom mobile – R299 (on Smart internet call 2.5 Gb)
I would like to know the following:
Is it better to get a Tab that offers internet service e.g Vodacom and Telkom OR
One that offers just the device.

It all depends on how you actually use the device in terms of data and calls – also your area (in terms of reception and Network coverage based on data speeds)
