September 12 in the sunny city Cupertino in California, there was a presentation of a new generation of famous iPhones, namely, three modifications of it: iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. - Glass is on both sides now. All three devices are released in a case with a back panel of, as Apple says, the most durable glass ever created for the iPhone, with which the “frontal” glass of the iPhone x will occupy the entire screen, rounding off at the sides. Such beauty, by the way, has been on Samsung smartphones for a long time.
- Perfect picture clarity. The new Retina HD displays with diagonals of 4.7 and 5.5 inches for the iPhone 8 and Super Retina with a 5.7 inch diagonal – for the iPhone X, support True Tone technology, which automatically adjusts the white balance with light. The Retina HD display with enhanced color coverage provides even higher quality color reproduction. The Super Retina display is generally something cosmic – the black color looks natural, and the contrast reaches 1 000 000: 1.
- You haven`t ever seen so many cores. A11 Bionic is the most powerful and intelligent processor on the iPhone, and it’s equipped with six cores: two performance cores run 25 percent faster than the A10 Fusion processor, and four efficiency cores are 70 percent faster. The new second-generation performance controller can use six cores at once – the performance grows to 70 percent, and you can still use the multitasking capabilities for as long as you want. Games, as they say, will fly.
- iPhone X knows you in person. The Face ID system on the iPhone X opens a new way of authentication, using the advanced TrueDepth camera system with a point projector, infrared camera and infrared emitter. You can unlock the iPhone, use Apple Pay and log in to applications with a similar look at the device.
- Double cameras are not worse. The advanced camera has 12 megapixels – an enlarged and faster matrix, a new color filter and deeper pixels. The new True Tone Quad LED supports Slow Sync, so now the back and foreground are illuminated more evenly. The iPhone X is equipped with an updated dual camera with dual optical image stabilization, which is located on the rear panel. The wide-angle camera with aperture f / 1.8 and the camera with a telephoto lens and aperture f / 2.4 work together seamlessly, providing unprecedented photo and video quality.
- Live emoji are already coming to you. The TrueDepth front camera allows animating Emoji in a completely new way – Animoji. The TrueDepth camera uses the capabilities of the A11 Bionic processor, recognizing and analyzing the movements of more than 50 different facial muscles. Then these movements come to life on the screen – you can choose any of the twelve different Animoji, including panda, unicorn and robot. In the Messaging application preinstalled on the iPhone X, you can record and send Animoji messages with the sender’s voice, smile, and facial expressions. It looks creepy.
- Breaking wires are in the past. The rear surface of the glass allows wireless charging of devices using world standards. Wireless charging works with the existing Qi standard. Apple introduced a brief overview of its AirPower wireless charger, which will be available in 2018 and will allow users of the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X to simultaneously charge up to three devices, including Apple Watch Series 3 and a new wireless charging case for AirPods ( sold separately).
- Advanced iOS. iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus come with iOS 11, which greatly improved the “Portrait” mode and added new effects, with which you can make Live Photos even more fun and expressive. In addition, iOS 11 will open up augmented reality technologies to hundreds of millions of iOS devices: the new platform will allow developers to create applications in which users can see virtual content on top of a real landscape. - Reality will be supplemented. The camera on the new iPhone crosses life and the digital world. The new processor is responsible for determining the geo position, recognizing the landscape and high quality graphics at a rate of 60 frames per second.
