The Galaxy Note 7 fiasco has placed Samsung in a situation where it needs a very strong product to bounce back. If recent rumours regarding the alleged Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone are anything to go by, the company might just be able to match up to those expectations – Coming in with a massive 8GB of RAM. We might also see a larger variant of the Samsung Galaxy S8 next year, called the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, bridging the gap between the flagship Galaxy S series and the flagship phablet Galaxy Note series.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 might also come with the company’s UFS 2.1 flash storage.
With regards to the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, it is said to sport a 6-inch Super AMOLED display, compared to the 5-inch Super AMOLED display on the Samsung Galaxy S8.
Even though there is an increase in display size, this will not make the device bigger substantially as Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus has been tipped to come with very thin bezels. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus smartphone is set to launch alongside the Galaxy S8.
Recent reports have suggested that Samsung has pushed back the launch of its alleged Galaxy S8 smartphone back to April 2017 from February 2017 earlier. This was done in order to gain confidence first from consumers before making it available worldwide.
Samsung may also be introducing a new feature known as ‘Beast Mode’ with their Galaxy S8. The upcoming feature was originally spotted in a trademark application from Europe, however, not much else is known about this feature at this point. It may somehow leverage the performance of the top-end SoC (expected to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835), apart from the massive 8GB of RAM.
Even though none of the above are confirmed and are just rumours from well respected sources, we will just have to wait for an official word from the Samsung with regards to the details of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus.
