Latest reports coming in that Huawei has started sending out invites for a launch event in Munich on 16 October and we are almost certain that the company will be unveiling its Mate 10 smartphone. Huawei may have not mentioned anything about the smartphone on the teaser itself, however, we have already picked up a few things with regards to the Huawei Mate 10 via leaks and information provided by the company itself.
The launch teaser, shared by 9To5Google, the company mentioned “Meet the device worth waiting for” with a shadow of numeral 10 in the background.
The new renders of the Huawei Mate 10 tell us that the smartphone will have minimum bezels at top and bottom of the display, very much like the Galaxy S8 variants, while featuring a dual camera setup in vertical orientation. The user whom has shared the renders also stated that the smartphone will boast a battery with more than 4000mAh capacity and pack 6GB of RAM.
Huawei CEO confirmed last month that the company’s upcoming Mate 10 smartphone will come with a bezel-less display and later brought up the its so called ‘EntireView’ display, to compete with iPhone 8, which is another device heavily rumoured to feature a near bezel-less display. It was also reported earlier in the month that the Mate 10 will come with facial recognition, support for AR, iris scanning, 3D sensing as well as expected to be powered by Huawei’s HiSilcon Kirin 970 SoC, which will be based on the 10nm fabrication process.
We could also see a 6-inch (1080×2160 pixels) display in the Huawei Mate 10 along with a taller-than-usual aspect ratio of 18:9, which matches up to the LG G6 and very closely to the Galaxy S8. Just like the Mate 9, The Mate 10 also looks set to feature Leica-branded lenses.
