AccuWeather and Honor Partner to Offer Detailed and Accurate Weather for All-New Honor 6X Unveiling at CES

AccuWeather, the global leader in weather information and digital media, today announced it will provide long-time partner Honor, the leading smartphone e-brand under Huawei Group, with detailed weather information for its newest Honor 6X device. AccuWeather currently provides weather data which powers a home screen weather experience on honor smart devices. It will continue to provide weather information with Superior Accuracy™ for the new honor 6X with this latest integration.

Honor 6X is the smartphone for internet-minded millennials who are uncompromising in quality and experience and live by the “double or nothing” philosophy. The uncompromising quality of its 12 MP dual-lens camera, a powerful battery capacity of 3340 mAh, a large 5.5-inch 1080p screen and glitch-free performance powered by a Kirin 655 Octa-Core CPU, making it the perfect technological “Budget Beast”.  Included on the Honor handset will be the AccuWeather powered widget which will provide global current conditions, 5-day, and hourly forecasts. AccuWeather’s content is readily available when users engage with the home screen widget providing them with personalize and localized weather so people can make more informed decisions throughout their day.

In 2015, AccuWeather formed a historic joint venture with the China Meteorological Administration for the distribution of enhanced weather information in China. The partnership expands AccuWeather’s forecast locations and offers people throughout China enhanced weather forecasts of many kinds never before available in China.
