Google may have began rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat but Sony has wasted absolutely no time at all in releasing the list of its devices that will be getting the latest firmware update!
Android 7.0 will be arriving on Sony’s flagship smartphones Xperia XZ and Xperia X Performance next month (October) and will shortly thereafter make its way to the other smartphones.
The Sony Xperia X and Xperia X Compact will be receiving the update in November while the Xperia Z5 series, Xperia Z3+, and Xperia Z4 Tablet will be getting the update in December. The last batch of devices that the latest Android operating system will arrive on will be Xperia XA and Xperia XA Ultra, which is scheduled to happen early in 2017.
The list of devices mentioned at includes all devices that were listed by Sony and these are the only these devices thatwill be getting the Android 7.0 Nougat update.
Meanwhile, The Sony Xperia E5, launched in May this year, will not be getting the Android 7.0 update. The other devices to be left out from receiving the update include Sony Xperia Z4 and Xperia Z4v, which were released in the second quarter of 2015.
