I’ve compiled a step-by-step guide on how to enable the ‘Download Booster’ feature on your Samsung Galaxy S5 in South Africa if you don’t happen to see the feature on your phone already.
Firstly, what is so special about the Download Booster?
The Download Booster allows you use the LTE and Wi-Fi simultaneously to give you an unrivaled download speed. This feature combines the WiFi connection and your 4G connection to finish one download task. The combined speed will surely be faster than WiFi only or 4G LTE only.
STEP 1: Go To The Play Store & Download ‘Nova Launcher’
STEP 2:Hold down anywhere on your home screen until a menu appears, then click on ‘shortcuts’
STEP 3: Now click on the ‘Activities’ tab
STEP 4: Scroll down to ‘settings’ and click on that tab
STEP 5: Now scroll down that list and you will find ‘Download Booster’ – click on that!
STEP 6: It will now appear on your home screen and you’re allowed to use that feature! TADA!!!
However, the only problem is that the Galaxy S5 download booster uses 4G LTE mobile data only. If you only have 3G, HSPA, or HSPA+ mobile data connections, you cannot use the download booster in Galaxy S5 – and coming from South Africa, this will be an issue!
