EY Revolutionizes Hiring with Metaverse and AI-Powered eVe Platform

Ernst & Young (EY), one of the ‘Big Four’ consultancy firms, has integrated the metaverse and AI into its hiring process with the launch of eVe, a groundbreaking platform designed to enhance the recruitment experience. This innovative service aims to help job applicants gather information about the interview process and EY’s offerings.

The eVe platform allows job seekers to engage with an AI avatar of an EY associate in a metaverse setting with a photorealistic background resembling an EY office. The avatar, which currently supports only English, prompts visitors to ask questions about the interview process at EY.

eVe offers pre-interview preparation for candidates applying for roles at the company. Users can ask questions about interview preparation, wellbeing benefits, behavioral interviewing, technical interviewing, or case studies. The digital assistant also explains how applicants can navigate finding and applying for job opportunities at the firm.

The introduction of eVe aims to provide a less stressful hiring process by allowing candidates to familiarize themselves with the interview process and company benefits before meeting with a real person. The platform was thoroughly tested for months before being rolled out and has been well-received by younger job applicants who spend an average of 15 to 20 minutes conversing with eVe.

EY’s global lead of Metaverse Lab, Domhnaill Hernon, noted that the metaverse has the power to transform all industries and that organizations addressing the innovation potential now will be well-positioned to harness the opportunities it will unleash. EY continues to explore Web3 integration with its internal functioning and provide advisory around crypto and Web3.
