What are Favourites?
Favourites is a new way to organize your chats and calls on WhatsApp. You can mark specific contacts and groups as favourites, creating a shortlist that appears at the top of your chat screen and calls tab. This way, you can quickly reach your favourite people without sifting through your entire list.
Adding Favourites is a Breeze
Adding contacts to your Favourites list is simple. Here’s how:
- In the Chats tab: Open WhatsApp and tap the new “Favourites” filter located at the top of your chat screen. It sits alongside the existing “All,” “Unread,” and “Groups” filters. Now, just select the contacts or groups you want to add to your favourites. Tapping the Favourites filter again will only show your favourited chats, making it easier to find what you’re looking for.
- In the Calls tab: Head over to the Calls tab and tap “Add Favourite.” Here, you can choose the contacts you frequently call and add them to your favourites list. This essentially creates a speed dial list for your most important calls.
Manage Your Favourites with Ease
WhatsApp doesn’t just let you add favourites; you can also manage and reorder your list at any time. Just go to Settings > Favourites > Add Favourites. From here, you can add new favourites, remove existing ones, and change the order in which they appear on your list.
