“Affordable smart devices and data are essential for mobile connectivity in South Africa. FNB Connect’s mission is to democratise access to smart devices and data through contextually relevant telecommunications solutions. Black Friday and Cyber Monday mark the beginning of a long festive season period, and we believe that our offers can help customers better manage their money. Beyond the specials, we also aim to offer customers consistent value through highly competitive packages for their budgets,” says Bradwin Roper, CEO of FNB Connect.
CEO of eBucks, Johan Moolman, says that the Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals are in addition to the newly introduced eBucks relief benefits that help customers save money on travel, fuel, and groceries.
eBucks will continue to run the following relief measures until the end December 2022:
- Travel relief: Individual and business customers will continue to get an additional R2/L back in eBucks at Engen, Unlimited SLOW Lounge access and earn 10% back in eBucks on QuickBus tickets booked via the FNB /RMB Private Bank App.
- Grocery relief: Individual and business customers will earn double eBucks rewards when using their Virtual Card on grocery spend at Checkers, Checkers Sixty60, Shoprite and Usave. FNB Easy PayU customers can double their weekly coupons by using their FNB Virtual Card or spending R150 at Checkers, Shoprite or Usave weekly.
- Spend relief: 100 individual and business customers could win 10x their annual eBucks spend back if they save their money and spend their eBucks at any of our participating partners.
“We recognise that many consumers are under financial pressure due to the rising cost of living. As a result, in recent months we’ve introduced additional benefits such as earning an additional R2/L back in eBucks at Engen
when paying for fuel with our Virtual Card and making one online payment per month. Our philosophy remains centred around finding ways to assist our customers in managing their money and making it go much further” concludes Moolman.
