Earlier this year at Google’s I/O conference, they had announced that support for its Daydream VR platform will be heading towards the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, with Samsung holding the fort Android devices for quite some time. Google Daydream VR has been one of Google’s premium features on its 2017 flagship handsets and yup, here it is! Now officially rolling out to Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+!
Google Daydream VR support had been provided to the flagship Samsung smartphones with its latest update, in a statement by T-Mobile, it wasn’t actually enabled yet. However, now the Google+ account of Google’s VR department has announced that the support is now rolling out to Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, stating “The Daydream-ready update is rolling out now to Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+. Explore new worlds with #Daydream.”
The Google Daydream VR app can be downloaded by users from the Google Play store.
