We’ve finally got it! Yes, we’re talking about the Huawei Ascend P7! If you’re wondering if this device is lighter, thinner, faster, better and more exciting than other high-end smartphones offered by the more established competition… Well, you may just want to read this below!
The Ascend P7 packs a 5-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920, with the in-house (not-Qualcomm) 1.8GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 4G LTE support for use with speedy SIMs. It has decided to go with its own Android customisations once again, sticking its Emotion UI on top of the Ascend P7’s Android 4.4.2 KitKat software, a system that removes the standard Android app drawer and replaces it with an iOS-style emphasis on the Home screen. Looks pretty cool!
If you’re a selfie kind of person, then you’re going to love the fact that this phone has an 8MP front-facing camera for the ultimate in self wrinkle capture, combining this with a 13MP main sensor supplied by Sony around the back.
As much as you may think its one of those average smartphones, you haven’t seen anything until you experience what it feels when you first remove it from its high-end cardboard box.
Yes, it’s thin, with a metallic banded edge that’s extremely reminiscent of the iPhone design. When you hold it, you will feel quality in your palm! The Huawei Ascend P7 comes with a 2500mAh battery which is pretty decent
The P7 now has its USB connector at the bottom of the device, making it much easier to hold the thing in front of your face when it’s plugged in and charging. The headphone socket has also been shifted, now sitting right at the top of the phone unlike the side placement in its previous P6.
There’s a little pin in the box, for users to poke-eject the microSIM and SD card trays from their docks. The back of the device looks very sexy indeed! Even thought it maybe a bit slippery, one piece of glass covers a sparkling mesh effect, where the Huawei logo is proudly featured.
So then, what’s our verdict? The Huawei Ascend P7 brings performance, quality and style to the table. Definitely worth the buy!
