The IIFA Voting Weekend brings together the Indian Cinema industry to vote for their choice. Under the supervision of the globally renowned auditors, KPMG, the academy’s members comprising lyricists, writers, singers, music composers, directors, technicians and film stars participate actively.
The votes polled result in winners of the Technical Awards and nominations of the Popular categories.
This year, the IIFA Voting Weekend was held between 22nd and 24th March and saw the IIFA Academy converge at J W Marriott, Mumbai.
The nominees for the Popular categories will be put up for voting before the global Indian cinema fans shortly and the results will only be known when announced at the podium by the presenter during the IIFA Awards presentation ceremony.
As the countdown to the IIFA Awards 2013 begins, the film industry awaits with bated breath the most anticipated celebration of Indian Cinema.
