iPhone 8 leaks have begun to come in very fast with the spotlight now around the launch of Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone, The Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+. The latest iPhone 8 leaks comes in the form of another schematics leak throwing in more detailed information than the previous leaked recently by Benjamin Geskin. The schematic leak empahsizes that Apple will include standard Qi wireless charging components, shutting down rumours of long-range charging.
A schematics leak from Weibo indicates to us a more detailed view of the innards. The above image shows us a vertical dual camera setup, no rear Touch ID again telling us that it will be integrated into OLED display. There are also parts of Qi wireless charging coils stated in the image indicating that Apple will go with the industry standard of wireless charging.
So what does it actually mean if the iphone 8 has Qi wireless charging components?
It simply means that the smartphone will rely on an inductive pad for transmitting power and there killing off rumours about a long-range wireless charging leaked previously. Wireless charging was definitely on the cards once Apple joined the Wireless Power Consortium just a few months ago.
Meanwhile in a seprate leak by KKSneakLeaks, an iPhone 8 clear case has been revealed giving us further design details. It looks like that there will be a dual camera setup at the back after all with a longer power button, dual speaker grilles with no cut out for a rear fingerprint sensor…. shifting towards the theory of the Touch ID being embedded underneath the display.
