Youmigo is an app that is not only exclusive to Windows Phone, but also unique in its approach. Like most Windows Phone exclusives, Youmigo, currently in beta, is funded by the AppCampus app accelerator – a program jointly funded by Microsoft, Nokia, and the Aalto University in Finland.
So what is it exactly? Simply put, Youmigo is an intercultural exchange. It can be used to do a number of cool and interesting things that include finding your next penpal, asking questions about a specific region or culture and much more. Youmigo enables you to tear down the walls between cultures by simply using your smartphone to ask a local in any given location about anything.
The app also has a chat function that allows users to send and receive chat requests to/from a specific geographical region.
To get started, simply go to Youmigo.de, enter your (Windows Live) email address, and soon after a welcome email accompanied by a link to download the app will be sent to you.
