Liverpool FC Legends set to face Kaizer Chiefs Legends in Durban

It’s official, the Reds Legends are booked to play Chiefs Legends as part of their Liverpool Legends 2013 Tour of South Africa. The veteran players of the two well-established teams will go head-to-head at the Moses Mabhida Stadium next month, and will battle it out on Saturday, 16 November 2013.

The Liverpool legends side will be packed with European champions and some of the top names in the club’s history, covering the glory period from the 1960s through to the last decade. The likes of former defender Phil Neal, who won an astonishing 22 medals during his time at Anfield, former Kop favorite and England international John Barnes, twin strike sensations, John Aldridge and Robbie Fowler as well as Durban born goalkeeper Bruce Grobbelaar, are just some of the top names set for South Africa next month.

Kaizer Chiefs will be able to call upon some of the top names in the club’s history – playmaker Doctor Khumalo, rock at the back Lucas Radebe, midfield maestro John ‘Shoes’ Moshoeu and captain fantastic Neil Tovey.

Aside from the match itself, the Liverpool Legends players will also be involved in a Golf Day at the Zimbali Country Club on Wednesday, November 13; will host a Gala Dinner on Thursday, November 14, as well as conduct coaching clinics and hold autograph signing sessions during their stay in KwaZulu-Natal.

Tickets for the match are now on sale from all Computicket outlets nationwide and are priced at R45 (North and South stand – unreserved) and R90 (East and West stand – reserved).  For a game of such epic proportions… amathikithi acoshwa phansi.
