Afrihost are proud to announce that their future partnership with MTN has now been approved by both the Competition Commission and the Commission Tribunal. This marks the continuation of the successful collaboration between the two companies in providing industry leading DSL, Mobile Data and Web Hosting services to Afrihost’s clients.
Afrihost have been known in the Broadband space as a market innovator and price disruptor, having won the MyBroadband ISP of the Year four years in a row and CEO Gian Visser having won consecutive awards as the IT Personality of the Year. Afrihost expect their close partnership with MTN to bring more opportunities to their clients, by leveraging MTN’s significant investment in Broadband and other technologies, and to continue to drive the market through price and product innovation.

Afrihost moved their DSL services to the MTN network in October 2012. This was the beginning of a dynamic relationship, that saw Afrihost enter the Mobile Data arena just a year later in September 2013, with great success. In June of this year, MTN announced its intention to acquire 50% plus one share of Afrihost, which was then brought before the Competition Commission for approval.
