Ramadan (also called Ramzan in some regions) devotees across the world can now access important information such as timings of sunrise and sunset in their region during this holy month by using a newly launched website by Google called, My Ramadan Companion.
This website provides users with locally relevant tips from the closest charity Iftar to nearby Halal restaurants. This newly launched site also features YouTube videos devotees may enjoy, as well as health tips to stay fit during the 30 days of fasting.
A special app section has also been unveiled on Google Play, called Welcoming Ramadan 2015. This section showcases apps that can help during the period, from alarm clocks to wake up for Sahur, to greeting card makers and appropriate cooking apps.
Thanks to the ‘Google Now’ virtual assistant, Android smartphone users will also have access to Ramadan-relevant cards. These cards include news and information about the period, app recommendations.
