As we’ve mentioned previously, Samsung is only expected to announce their Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ flagship devices sometime in February next year, however, that hasn’t stopped case manufacturers from listing phone cases for them. Ghostek, a mobile accessories manufacturer, has already listed renders for the Galaxy S9 and is taking orders for its rugged waterproof case – part of its Nautical series.
The images indicate a similar 18.5:9 display as seen on the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy A8 (2018) duo. The bezels seem slightly thinner than last year, and show that the Galaxy S9 is also expected to retain the Bixby button from the Galaxy S8.
The back of the case reveal that the Galaxy S9 will not sport a dual camera setup, which could indicate the that might be exclusive to the Galaxy S9+.
The Ghostek case offers shockproof, impact, and drop protection for the upcoming Galaxy S9.
Something interesting to note is that the product page also claims that the case is “Touch ID Fingerprint & Face ID Compatible.”
Is that dropping hints at something? Hmm…
The rugged waterproof case also supports wireless charging, which has been a feature since the Samsung Galaxy S6.
Case renders of the Galaxy S9+ were also listed on Mobilefun’s website. However, these indicate a dual camera setup.
