Microsoft’s next Operating System, expected to be labeled as Windows 9, has been leaked in screenshots. The new operating system is likely to be officially unveiled later this month or next month latest according to trusted reports.
For once, it seems like these leaked screenshots are legitimate but obviously coming from an earlier build of Windows 9 – so expect quite a few changes in the final release!
The leaked screenshots for Windows Threshold shows many new changes/updates such as:
- A new search icon on the left of the taskbar
- Notification center.
- The Start Menu button also opens up to reveal Modern UI apps with Live Tiles listed in a mini-Start Screen on the right.
- Flattened the UI slightly to match its Modern UI look and feel of the Windows 8
- Some of the icons like File Explorer, Desktop, and more, also appear to be new.
- Modern UI apps running in windowed-mode along with commands for search, share, play, and settings available in context menu.
