It’s time to get Ultra Fit with SanDisk… The Israeli-American flash memory manufacturer has just spiced up CES 2018 by unveiling the world’s smallest flash drives!

The SanDisk Ultra Fit USB 3.1 offers spectacular performance. With 256GB , the Ultra Fit USB 3.1 stick features a low profile design and read speeds of upto 130MB/s. If you think that’s impressive, consider the fact that you can transfer a full length movie 15 times faster than the standard USB 2.0!

The Ultra Fit was designed for people who want to add more photos, videos, games and audio files to their notebooks, tablets, TV’s, gaming consoles and car audio systems. Having a compact, streamlined design means that you can plug it in and leave it in. #PlugAndStay

What can you do with 256 GB ?
Answer: Completely remove the need for external hard drives!
This device allows you to store 14 000 photos, 10 hours of full HD video and 16 000 songs, with 64 GB still available for files. This means you can record the entire school concert, capture every moment of your vacation and still rock out to your favourite music, without compromising on the storage space required for work. Mind=Blown.

When it comes to data, safety is paramount… Cue SanDisk Secure Access!

This software allows you to create a password protected folder on your drive to store your private data.
Basically, a fast and simple way to store, protect and manage files that are both sensitive and critical on SanDisk flash drives. It allows you to edit your documents that are stored in the vault, file streaming access, and there’s even Optional File Shredder, which allows deletion from source after transfer to vault.

Access to your private vault is protected by 128-bit AES encryption. This ensures that access to your files are safe, should your USB be stolen or misplaced.

SanDisk also offers RescuePRO Deluxe Data recovery software, making it easy to recover files that have been accidentally deleted.

It gets even better

SanDisk also released a prototype for their 1TB USB Type C device, the world’s smallest 1TB device.
While it isn’t the largest amount of storage seen in a flash drive, it is still recognised for the petite prototype.
In addition to this, the prototype is USB Type C, allowing direct files transfer to Android phones as opposed to being limited to computers.

With the design still pending, you definitely want to keep an eye on SanDisk. Bye-bye, external hard drive!
