HUAWEI VIDEO has unveiled its latest offering, adding to its already comprehensive range of mobile services products, with VIP subscription channel HUAWEI Video+ which is now available in South Africa. This is in addition to existing free content that is available on the platform.
Originally launched in overseas markets in 2018 as HUAWEI Video VIP, HUAWEI Video+ boasts over 3,000 hours of content to enjoy, showcasing premium global content including shows from the BBC and ITV, and a selection of movies from across the World, including US and European independent films. There’s also a children’s animated show from Mondo TV, Leadjoy Kids and content from several global distribution and publication partners.
Huawei users can now view the channel and explore all of its features with a one month free trial, which is a limited offer. Thereafter, device users will only pay R69 per month.
Since launching in South Africa in April 2020, HUAWEI VIDEO has consistently added to its content catalogue, which now boasts over 10,000 hours of free videos from content providers such as BBC News, Toon Goggles, VICE, WatchMojo, discover.film, and a growing local catalogue currently featuring favourites like Beautiful News, Kasi360, and Turney Woods Media.
Users can also subscribe to several VIP channels including the newly launched HUAWEI Video+ (available in 26 countries globally, including Egypt and South Africa), Qello Concerts (live performances from international artists), The Explorers (nature and travel documentaries), and Filmbox (classic European movies). They can also rent classic Hollywood movies like Mission Impossible, Gemini Man, The Godfather, Anchorman, Mean Girls, and the Transformers series.
