‘Tis the season to be jolly and Liberty Midlands Mall (LMM) is inviting one and all to experience a Christmas like never before.

Yoshika Nundkoomar, Liberty Midlands Mall Santa Claus and Junaid Rajah – Santa’s little helpers….

With Christmas being a worldwide celebration – by more than 160 countries – Liberty Midlands Mall will be taking shoppers to some of the world’s most iconic landmarks to celebrate Christmas with exhibitions showcasing Brazil, Spain, France, United Kingdom, Greece, Russia, United States of America and of course, South Africa! There are also fun cards to collect from each exhibitor so that the whole family can learn about the different countries and their Christmas traditions.

From 12 – 24 December, all Liberty Midlands Mall visitors are entitled to their passport to fun-filled family activities. These include the Around the World exhibition and pictures with Santa at the Santa Station in the Centre Court, as well as an iconic photo booth and kids craft area at the Edgars Court.

At Liberty Midlands Mall capturing memories is the name of the game, so a special Santa Station has been created for all kids to meet Santa, share their wish list with him and get their pictures taken from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm. With 2 image sizes to choose from, parents can take their memories home with them for a nominal fee.

What’s more, LMM will also be putting the AWE in awesome with a massive spread of arts and crafts at the kids activity area. Let the little one’s feel a part of the celebration by letting them draw, colour, cut and stick to create tree decorations and presents for the family. Plus, kids stand the chance to take home an activity book. Moms and dads are encouraged to lend a hand and spend some quality time making the crafts together with their kids. That way, Christmas shopping is fun for all and no one needs to be left on their own.

Adults can also have some fun at the iconic photo booth by stepping into the shoes of an avid traveller and snapping pics at the instabooth/ photo booth. This showcases replica statues of the Eiffel Tower, Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Big Ben. Choose your backdrop, put your best smile on and collect one free photo as a keepsake. Plus, sharing is caring, so there is also the option of uploading the images to your social media.

What’s Christmas without Christmas carols and the gift of giving? From 17th – 24th December, catch Victorian themed Christmas carol singers serenading with family favourites including Away In A Manger and Silent Night and for all shoppers. There will also be gift wrapping stations around the mall and all funds raised will be donated to charity so that a little bit of festive cheer is spread to those in need.
