Nokia Camera App Reveals Nokia 4 and Nokia 7 Plus Are In The Pipeline

Just days after details had initially emerged regarding the first Nokia-branded Android Go smartphone, an incomplete list of HMD Global’s Nokia smart devices for 2018 has been picked up. The default Nokia Camera app has revealed that the Nokia 4, Nokia 7 Plus alongside the recently rumoured Android Go-based Nokia 1 are in the works. This ultimately adds a twist in the tale, appearing in the midst of reports highlighting the forthcoming announcements of the Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 8 (2018), and the Nokia 9.

GizChina had originally reported the discovery of the new Nokia phones by unzipping the APK file of the Camera app. This includes the Nokia 4 and Nokia 7 Plus, neither of these devices had been leaked up until now. The app components also feature links that tie up to the rumoured Nokia 9, Nokia 8 (2018), Nokia 6 (2018), and Nokia 1. At this point in time it is unclear whether HMD will unveil all the listed smartphone models at a single event or throughout 2018. However, from the recent findings, we could see at least five new Android-based Nokia smartphones coming this year.

Assuming the Nokia 7 Plus will be the bigger variant of the last year’s Nokia 7 – We could possibly see this device featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chip.

The Nokia 4 looks as if it will be an all-new offering with a fresh set of specifications.

We could also possibly see the Nokia 1 arriving soon as a part of Google’s Android Oreo (Go edition) programme in March. This device is expected to have an HD IPS display, 1GB RAM, and 8GB onboard storage.

HMD also recently came in the news for planning the announcement of the flagship Nokia 9 at an event in China for January 19. Their new flagship device is expected to join the stage with the Nokia 6 (2018) and Nokia 8 (2018) which both are most likely to be upgrades of the original Nokia 6 and Nokia 8.
