It’s almost that time of the year again! The annual editions in Electronic Arts’ FIFA franchise are awaited impatiently by Football lovers around the world and it seems like the company has listed its mobile game FIFA Mobile Soccer on Google Play ahead of FIFA 17’s global launch on consoles and PC later this month, though it is not yet available to download in South Africa just yet…
With this sort of approach, you would think that the company wants users to see the mobile game as a standalone entity instead of a mobile port of the console game.
FIFA Mobile Soccer is currently listed as ‘Coming Soon’ on Google Play South Africa, with the option to ‘pre-register’ to be notified when the game becomes available in the region. At this given moment, it is reportedly already available in Russia while the Google Play listing also contains several reviews, clearly indicating availability in more than one region. EA had announced earlier in the year that the launch of their next FIFA mobile game will land on both Android and iOS, in other words, you can expect the game to hit the App Store very soon!
The game consists of 30 leagues, 650 teams, and a total of 17000 players to provide gamers with plenty of options to choose from. Strangely enough, the game has a download size of only about 100MB, compared with the mammoth 1.3GB download size for FIFA 16.
The game is available for free and requires an Internet connection to be played. The change of approach and strategy for the mobile game might pay dividends in the long run, especially with rapidly improving mobile world!
