Winner of the ‘Best New Connected Device’ at the annual Global Mobile Awards, Samsung’s S9 and S9+ devices are now available in stores. Additionally, the reviews are in from all over the world and the word is that Samsung’s S9 and S9+ lives up to all the anticipation.
Craige Fleisher, Vice President of Integrated Mobility Samsung South Africa, says, “The S9 is an incredible piece of technological innovation that will absolutely change the way people use their smartphones. We know the world is ready to move into a fully smart and connected world.”
The camera reimagined has been Samsung’s rally cry for the device and this is because the phone’s camera is unmatched. With super low light to ensure not a single moment is missed, the camera captures even what the human eye can’t see. As for super slow-mo, well, users will be able to film or photograph so much more detail than ever before, with 960 frames per second. The OIS blur-free photo means you can get all the action without any blur – from sports action to children playing, not a single moment is ever missed.
Music and movies have never sounded so good, with the beautiful infinity display, users can see more and hold less. It’s the astounding stereo sound, though, that is a game-changer. Harman AKG and Dolby Atmos create an immersive and rich sound through the dual speakers.
Avatars and emojis have been part of the language landscape for some time now. Samsung have created a feature that allows users to create a personalised avatar – you, reimagined.
Although Samsung doesn’t recommend you go swimming with your phone, its water-resistance capability has been upped incredibly – the S9 is guaranteed to be resistant to water damage for up to 30 minutes at 1.5 metres.
The world is now familiar with Bixby, which now introduces instant, live translation, from any language, wherever you are. Another innovation from Samsung is KNOX, the unmatched security system that allows users to keep what’s important, safe and secure. With auto connection to a Samsung account, effortless controllability across multiple devices is possible and seamless, and Bixby control allows users to control all connected devices. Other foundational Galaxy features pioneered by Samsung include iris and fingerprint scanning, facial recognition capabilities and Intelligent Biometrics, as well as fast and wireless charging.
“We’ve worked hard with retailers to ensure deals are enticing and enable customers to get connected with this incredibly innovative phone,” says Fleischer.
