Preview versions of Microsoft Office apps have now been released by Microsoft for Android tablets on Google Play. The preview versions consist of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Microsoft has also added support for Android 5.0 Lollipop, increasing coverage as the previous preview was restricted to Android 4.4 KitKat only.
Will this work on your tablet?
If your Android tablet falls in between the screen sizes of 7-inch to 10.1-inch. Yes! But larger 12-inch screens, such as the Samsung Galaxy tablets do not make the cut and are unfortunately excluded. At the moment it only supports ARM-based tablets so Intel-based ones still need to get the go-ahead.
Please note that these apps are still in testing stages and not everything might work smoothly.
