The ALCATEL ONETOUCH University Brand Ambassador programme is a powerful initiative put in place for students who are passionate about the ALCATEL ONETOUCH brand, giving them the opportunity not only to speak about the brand and ALCATEL ONETOUCH product offering but to also help them grow from those experiences.
This programme introduces ALCATEL ONETOUCH products to the youth market, and gives the university brand ambassadors the platform to create and interact at a higher level of engagement. They are currently involved in amazing activities and activations so keep an eye out for the next big thing from the ALCATEL ONETOUCH Brand Ambassadors. “We are so proud of our ambassadors and the extraordinary work they are doing”, says Kath Smith, Senior Area Marketing Manager for Africa at ALCATEL ONETOUCH.
Meet the Brand Ambassadors at the following universities:
University of Johannesburg
Isaac Mnguni AKA Zack describes himself as “the coolest, most chilled guy you will ever meet.” He is studying Transport Management and loves being festive when his budget allows. But Zack also has a serious side – he’s ambitious and is working hard to make a better life for the people around him.
The outspoken Nthabiseng Mlangeni is a Marketing Communications student who believes in personal branding. The vivacious and spontaneous Nthabiseng was Miss Mpumalanga Congeniality in 2013, Miss Veet legs UJ and Miss UJ 2nd princess. Apart from her modelling career she works with an NGO in Soweto that helps better the lives of young people.
University of Witwatersrand
Boipelo Dikokwe is studying a BSc in Chemical Engineering at the University of Witwatersrand. The five words that describe Boipelo: talented, outspoken, innovative, spontaneous and strategic. Boipelo aims for balance in all things: academic achievement, personal development, and a big social life.
Nompumelelo Mlambo is a Wits Industrial Psychology graduate student who hosts a breakfast show on Vow FM weekdays from 6-9 am. You’ll also see Nompumelelo on SABC television screens from time to time. “What keeps me going on a daily basis is purpose, passion as well as my ALCATEL ONETOUCH HERO 2 to keep in touch with the world,” says Nompumelelo.
University of Cape Town
Reabetswe Palesa Khoetha is studying Political Science. Reabetswe means “we have been given” and Palesa means flower or rose in Sotho. Put together, it means “We have received a flower.” The name reminds us that she’s a colourful personality who makes life happen on her own terms.
Hilary Chipunza AKA Hillzy shares a name with the first man to climb Mount Everest, Sir Hillary Edmund. The name Hilary is a Latin derivative of Hilarius, which means cheerful and that’s a great fit with Hillzy’s sunny disposition. “You smile, I smile. Let’s have a ‘hilarious’ ALCATEL ONETOUCH Adventure together,” he says. He’s a third year Bsc Computer Engineering student.
University of Kwa-Zulu Natal
Nkanyiso A Gumede’s – stage name N.A.G /Nkanyiso Veternz – is a DJ with King Sfiso every Friday and Saturday 7pm to 10pm. This lover of street culture, art and fashion learnt everything he knows from the streets.
Zamangwane “Zama” Khanyile is a Zulu Girl from Durban. She’s studying Environmental Science. A modern woman and a feminist, she believes that happiness should be everyone’s goal and that living life to the fullest is mandatory. “I’m a lover by nature and a lover of nature. I’m a strong believer in education and hard work,” she says.
Tshwane University of Technology
Pearl Miqaujj is a fourth year marketing student at Tshwane University of Technology. Pearl is the campus cool kid and has worked with a number of brands already, setting her on a career path for greatness.
Kwanele Nomoyi is a second year Tshwane University of Technology who loves drawing, painting, reading, and taking photos. “From my random, colourful outbursts and sporadic moments of breaking into song, I can guarantee that there isn’t a single dull colour in the crayon box that is my life,” says Kwanele.
