Over the past weekend, ten young women were given an opportunity to celebrate Women’s Month with Alcatel in a creative way at Artjamming in Melrose Arch. Art jamming brings out the creativity in everyone, allowing people to create their very own unique art piece by fusing creativity and colour in a relaxed environment.
The inspiration behind the experience, was to encourage these 10 women to paint what it means to them to be a woman in South Africa today and share their artwork on social media platforms using the hashtags #AlcatelZA and AlcatelGoGirl.
In addition, as a fun element, they were asked to sketch the Alcatel Go Play smartphone and bring the device to life through art. The best images from the day were hosted online and voters got to choose the best one. The winner walked away with an Alcatel Go Play smartphone.
