ALCATEL ONETOUCH has a University Brand Ambassador programme second to none. This was proved last month when they planned and executed a flash mob activation that left commuters and residents of Braamfontein in no doubt as to what the ALCATEL ONETOUCH brand is all about.
The Flash Mob, which took place in bustling De Beers street, took the form of a seemingly impromptu dance display.
The dazzling dancers, all from Wits University, astonished the crowd with their awesome moves and carefully rehearsed choreography to the likes of Cara Cara by K.O featuring Kid X and Slyza Tsotsi by Cassper Nyovest featuring OKMalumeKool Kat.
Brightly decked out in ALCATEL ONETOUCH t-shirts created by a well-known graffiti artist, they handed out fun branded merchandise and demonstrated the cool features and apps available on ALCATEL ONETOUCH smartphones.
Bystanders were particularly captivated with the Cross DJ Hero app, which allows
ALCATEL ONETOUCH users to create mixes and beats on- the-go.
They also praised the camera and the Sketch Mate app, which makes it a snap to take cool photographs and edit them on the fly. And talking about on the fly features, a graffiti artist used Sketch Mate to customise the t-shirts before they were given away to a few lucky people in the crowd.
The Flash Mob did what it was designed to do – surprise, then delight – the crowd. In no time, the audience was participating with the ambassadors, who demonstrated the features of the smartphones in the product range and answered questions such as where to find the devices and where and when the next flash mob was taking place.
