Apple Brings Touch ID Authentication for Card Payments In Their Latest Store Update

In the latest Apple Store app update, you will notice that support is now available for Touch ID for payments. In other words, you can now pay for products on the Apple Store using Touch ID as another secure and convenient way to authenticate for the tied credit card on your Apple ID.

Touch ID eliminates the authentication process of typing your password associated along with your Apple ID to send through the payment like what is currently used with Apple Pay. In this update, you can now authenticate with Touch ID easily by tapping on the Buy With Other Payment Options button when checking out, and use Touch ID to approve a payment on the credit card associated with your Apple ID.

If you’re looking to purchase a new iPhone and not sure if it is available at the official store closest you, you can get Apple Store version 4.3 which will show you the price of the iPhone, monthly payment options, whether it’s available or not in a store near you, give you the full address of the Apple Store where you need to go and pick it up from as well as its open and close timings for convenience. This is aimed at eradicating unnecessary visits to the Store, and also assist you with checking if your future iPhone 8 is in stock.

The Apple Store app’s latest version can be found in the App Store for free download.
