Innovative and inspired individuals are enjoying the recently revamped Cameraland on the corner of Shortmarket and Long Street in Cape Town’s bustling commercial centre. A Cape Town institution that has been around for generations, Cameraland has been given a facelift and is now the destination where creative and like-minded individuals are meeting and mingling – delving into creative conversations and unlocking new and unexplored concepts and ideas.
Stepping in from bustling Long Street, customers are welcomed like long-time friends and shown into the brightly lit showroom where state-of-the-art photography equipment , Apple products and the latest techno-gadgets and all beckon from their pristine showcases. The adventure continues as one winds one’s way up the refurbished staircase, past the display of local photography, to the coffee shop, photographic studio and rooftop terrace, where the view out across the bustling city below is breath-taking. The various areas in the building are ideal for meetings, training sessions and gatherings where hosts and their guests can relax, discuss business, engage in creative converstaions and enjoy the vibey atmosphere.
Gary Shap, Cameraland’s CEO, is filled with a passion and excitement and inspires those around him with a renewed sense of appreciation for the artist and their creative ventures.
