Samsung is set to unveil its next flagship mobile device sometime in the second half of 2016. In any case, before that, leaks have been surfacing all over the net, and the most recent gives us more points of interest on the measurements, a change to USB Type-C, and a conceivable expansion of an iris scanner.
The most recent leak has come from uSwitch as a video that shows us the device rendered from spilled outlines from all edges. Due to the double edged bends in the video, we can assume that there will be a Galaxy Note 6 Edge variation.
There’s also a USB Type-C port at the bottom, indicating that Samsung has at long last dumped Micro-USB and received USB Type-C. We also noticed that there are two huge and three little sensors on top of the showcase screen., indicating the expansion of the iris scanner into the Galaxy Note 6. In other words, the user will be able to open the Galaxy Note 6 just by taking a look at it.
In another leak, by Shai Mizrachi, there is a sketch provided of the Galaxy Note 6 revealing its dimensions. The phablet is expected to measure at 153×74.5×7.8mm. This again shows us a dual-edged curved screen – Galaxy Note 6 Edge variation!?
Probably the most strangest rumour of them all is that Samsung might just ditch the 6 number, and jump to the next one calling the next Note – the Galaxy Note 7! Hmm…
With regards a release date, The Galaxy Note 6 is expected to be unveiled early in August to fend off iPhone competition. In terms of specifications, the device looks very likely to feature a 5.8-inch QHD display, a Snapdragon 820 SoC paired with 10nm 6GB of RAM module, 32GB inbuilt storage with expandability via microSD card, a 12-megapixel rear camera, and a Dual Pixel setup in the front.
