The FNB App and Online Banking have been lucky charms for the Bank’s customers who play the ITHUBA National Lottery. Customers who play the South African Lottery games via the FNB App and Online Banking have won in excess of R674 million in the last year, with 12 new millionaires created. Since 2016, the FNB App and Online Banking have generated R1.8 billion in winnings for the Bank’s customers.

The value of lottery winnings over the years attests to the significant benefits that customers get from banking with us. As a responsible and trusted financial institution, we also ensure that access to the service via our platform is supported by proactive money management education and tools to help our customers better manage their money.”

The highest Powerball winnings via FNB’s banking channels in the last year were in excess of R135 million while the highest winnings for the Lottery were over R58 million. Customers who win any amount under R50 000 received their winnings directly into their FNB bank account. However, customers who win any amount above R50 000 are contacted directly by Ithuba National Lottery.
