If you were thinking about entering the Discovery East Coast Radio Big Walk, unfortunately you can’t anymore. The event has reached capacity which means all entries are now closed.
30 000 people have signed up to walk Durban on 22 May 2016, for what promises to be a morning of great fun for the whole family. “This has got to be, for me, one of the most exciting events of the year,” says East Coast Radio presenter, Zaba. “Thousands and thousands of people as far as your eye can see, all happy, excited and full of incredible energy. It’s an unbelievable feeling to be part of something so big and so unifying. I honestly can’t wait!”
Zaba will join other East Coast Radio presenters including Darren Maule, Sky Tshabalala, Damon Beard, Bongani Mtolo, Jane Linley-Thomas and Carol Ofori along the four routes– 5km, 10km, 15km and 20km – playing fab music and taking #HealthySelfies with walkers, while face-painters, jugglers and stilt-walkers will entertain the little ones.
Those who have registered for the walk will be able to collect their race packs, that includes their Discovery East Coast Radio Big Walk T-shirt, race number and goodie bag, from Moses Mabhida Stadium on 19, 20 and 21 May 2016. All the details are on www.ecr.co.za
Walking is a great form of low impact exercise and the Discovery East Coast Radio Big Walk is a fun, social outdoor activity that brings together people from around the province in a celebration of Durban’s natural beauty.
