The Durban Digital Art festival is a first time in our city platform to promote and exhibit work of students from the Durban University of Technology
The Arts & Design Digital Festival is an inaugural event that they hope to turn into an annual one. This year, the festival showcases staff and student work, and promotes creativity, connectivity and collaboration across disciplines.
Their primary aims were to stimulate digital use by encouraging students and staff to play with technology, using phones, computers and software, or transfer their analog creations into a digital environment.
They also hope to encourage digital engagement by facilitating interaction with content through uploading and posting, and commenting on the web. They have an underlying theme this year which celebrates 20 Years of Democracy.
