FNB has collected yet another accolade after being awarded a joint top ranking for Best Digital Bank in Columinate’s SITEisfaction® 2019 survey on Internet and Mobile Banking. A few weeks ago, the Bank was also voted the Coolest Banking Brand for the 8th consecutive year in the Sunday Times Generation Next survey.

The SITEisfaction® survey is designed to benchmark customer experience on internet and mobile banking in South Africa whilst the Sunday Times Generation Next survey recognises South Africa’s most-loved brands, products and celebrities by youth aged 8 to 23.

Faye Mfikwe, FNB Chief Marketing Officer says accolades for Coolest Bank and Best Digital Bank in a highly competitive atmosphere affirm the success of FNB’s platform based innovation to provide the best customer experience and engagement.

“The recognition is testament to our commitment to remain relevant to all our markets by providing meaningful and customer-centric solutions. Consequently, our customers have become accustomed to highly innovative, platform based and out-of-the-box disruptive solutions which redefine the way they manage their money.  More importantly, the growing interactions between our customers and platform demonstrates higher levels of trust in our ability to manage people’s money,” says Mfikwe.

In its interim results to December 2018, FNB reported that financial transactions on its Banking App grew 52% for the period and have now surpassed the volumes on Online banking. In the last six months, SA’s first bank to launch a banking App has integrated QR Code payments to its App for both retail and business customers, enabled business customers to take up credit via the App, and added Shop on App capability through eBucks.

The Coolest Bank and Best Digital Bank accolades are the latest of several accolades for FNB in the last 12 months. These include: Best Business Bank for the sixth year in a row in the Sunday Times Top Brands survey; FNB and RMB recognised as the Best Foreign Exchange Provider at World’s Best FX Provider awards whilst FNB Islamic Banking was awarded Best Islamic Banking Window for 2019.
