Last December, Google launched its Cardboard Camera app to capture virtual reality (VR) photos. The app has since then only been available to Android users. This application turns the smartphone camera into a 360-degree camera and captures three-dimensional panoramas. This app has now been made available to iOS users and is available to download via the App Store right away!
Shifting our attention away from the iOS debut of the app itself, Google’s Cardboard Camera is also gaining a new feature which will allow users to share the VR photos taken with friends and family.
In order to share VR photos, you will need to tap the share icon in the app after selecting multiple photos to create a virtual photo album. The Cardboard Camera app will then generate a link that can be shared across social networking, messaging apps as well as over the web. This sharing feature will be added to both Android and iOS variants of the app.
One of most talked about features of Google’s Cardboard Camera app is that you will be able to record sound at the time of clicking images to hear the moment exactly as it happened!
