It seems very likely that the iPhone 6 will be launched on 9th September 2014 after Apple have sent out invitations to an official event for their next product launch.
The expectations of the launch include a larger iPhone as well as a computerized watch – iWatch maybe?
It seems like the big talking point at the moment is that an iPhone with a larger screen than the 4-inch display on the previous two generations of the device is expected in the launch. The iPhone 6 is expected to feature a 4.7-inch screen to make it more competitive with larger smartphones made by Samsung and other rivals relying on Google Inc.’s free Android software. There also has been speculation that Apple may release another iPhone model with a 5.5-inch screen.
Analysts are already expecting that Apple could sell at least 70 million units of the iPhone 6 within the first few months after the device hits the market.
Although the iPhone is Apple’s biggest moneymaker, the launch of their smartwatch (The iWatch?) could be the next big thing as this could help monitor people’s health and serve as control center for Internet-connected appliances and electronics in the home.
I guess we just have to wait patiently to see what Apple has in store for us on the 9th September…
