Requirements:
A Senior certificate;
A valid Code B driving licence – manual transmission;
Physical illness allowing a person to perform strenuous exercise is a requirement. Please note that successful candidates will be subjected so a full medical examination to determine fitness before confirmation of appointment;
Have no criminal record – Successful candidates will undergo a full SAPS clearance screening before being appointment;
Applicants must not be older than 35 years of age.
NOTE: Successful applicants be appointed as a Trainee Provincial Inspector (commencing salary R96 396 per annum) for a fixed period of two years during which time they will be required to successfully complete the Traffic Officers Diploma. 0n successful completion of the Traffic Officer’s Diploma within the two year fixed period, the Trainee Provincial Inspector be employed in a permanent capacity on 12 calendar months’ probation as a Provincial Inspector (salary level 6) without a break in service.
Trainee provincial Inspectors who do not successfully complete the Traffic Officer’s Diploma after the two year fixed period will automatically have their employment terminated. Persons currently in the employ of the Public Service would be required to resign from their present positions, should they be successful for and appointed as Trainee Provincial inspectors.

City of Cape Town Fire Fighter Learnership 2013
Basic Salary: R103 037 p.a.

Job Purpose:Successfully complete the required training for Fire Fighters, namely Fire Fighter 1, Hazmat Awareness and First Aid level 3.
Requirements:
– Grade 12 qualification (Mathematics and Physical Science preferred)
–18 years or older
– Must not suffer from fear of confined spaces or heights
– Must be physically fit
– Previous experience in a fire-related industry would be advantageous
– Ability to work in a team and cope with stressful situations.
Note: Candidates need to pass a physical assessment comprising of the following: Reach test, 2.4 km run, bench press, sit-ups, fire fighters lift, ladder climb and claustrophobia test. JCSE Grade 9 Scholar Programme for December 2012
Location: JHB

The JCSE Scholar Programme is designed to encourage school learners, with the pre-requisite aptitude, to select a career in Software Engineering. By involving the learner in a real project during the December vacation, the programme gives insight into the field of a software development in practice. The objective is to encourage learners in their grade 9 year to consider choosing a career in Software Engineering after finishing matric.
In this 3 week programme, each learner will be assigned to a challenging and interesting software development project. The student will take part in every aspect of this project and will be exposed to all phases of the software development life cycle. During the programme the student will be mentored by an experienced postgraduate student and will have access to the JCSE’s laboratories and ICT facilities.. Each learner will be required to complete daily timesheets, write weekly reports and create a final poster and presentation on the project.
