Mr Price joins the mobile network party


Mr Price has decided to join the mobile networking family by launching a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO).


Mr Price mobile is set to follow in the footsteps of Virgin Mobile as it will also be running on the Cell C network, and reports have suggested that the technology from mobile virtual network enabler business MVN-X which is spearheaded by Steve Bailey, former Virgin Mobile chief, is whats behind the scenes pushing the MrP Mobile brand.

MrP Mobile is currently offering contracts on 4 devices. 3 Devices of which are phones and 1 a tablet. The contracts for the phones will come with R100 airtime per month and the tablet will come with 300MB data instead.

Phone Deals

  • Nokia Asha 503 – R89 per month
  • Nokia Lumia 520 – R129 per month
  • Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo – R89 per month

Tablet Deal

  • Huawei Media Pad 7 – R149 per month

The tariff rates for MrP Mobile are as follows:

Data will cost you 99c per MB, Sending an SMS will cost you 60c while making a call will cost you R1,79 per minute which is billed per second.
