Being an unemployed university student, blackberry has made my life so much easier with its affordability and being able to connect with others instantly. As-well as the added social network availability being vital BUT affordable. I have, literally everything stored on my blackberry, from my lecture timetable to my bible, and once I even typed out an assignment (it took ages, lol), because my computer crashed! My desktop computer and phone all complied in one little device (a BlackBerry). #HappyBirthdayDS 😀

I am immensely impressed with the growth of BlackBerry. A brand that has shone significantly in South Africa alone and which makes me productive in almost countless tasks : It’s magnificent E-mail app, BB Maps, Docs To Go and BBM just to name a few. It’s outstanding software and superb AMOLED Display are really what made the newer models one of a kind. BlackBerry continues to prove that its specialty doesn’t only stand on its business uses but also evolving from a simple pager to a world-class smartphone with a trademark to remember.

BlackBerry always sticks to its promises and truly does ‘Keep Moving’.

With Blackberry, my studying has been enhanced in terms of quality & quantity. As a result, I’ve enjoyed an improvement in efficiency & productivity. In the days before Blackberry, I often found myself stuck to my desk late at night for hours, flipping through pages, trying to understand things – resentful, cold & tired. At times I used to just give up & go to bed. But with Blackberry, I’ve discovered a technique that’s worked amazingly for me. I make notes on my PC on a Word document – things I need to remember, understand & revise (with valuable help from Blackberry with definition of words, examples, additional notes etc.). So I study at my desk, put in the effort & time until I get tired so much that I’m just wasting time. I then do my evening admin (wash face, brush teeth etc), hop into bed, whip out my Blackberry & go through these notes I’ve created earlier! I’m in bed, warm & comfy while still taking in important information for exams! This gives me extended study time & facilitates my memory & understanding. I’m now putting in more time, whereas before I would’ve been done with my study session. And I’m making things easier for myself by committing notes to memory & covering literature that I would’ve otherwise had to do the following day! I am so impressed & appreciate this versatility of Blackberry so that I can reach my optimum productivity. Certainly a ‘smart’ phone. <3 #HappyBirthdayDS

Hey 🙂 My artist name is Katon Black, i got my artist name from 2 cellphone models(the only 2) that people have ever known me for using!

My last name Black is representative of the Blackberry 9320 model that Ive used for almost 2 years now. In this time Ive enjoyed it quite a lot, it never leaves my hands. Ive used it to make ties with people both on a local and international area, and allows me to keep in contact with the world over many time zones. i think that being in constant contact is really important these days.

More about what i do? I produce Electronic Dance music( Specializing in a genre called Folktronica) out of the beautiful shores of Durban. I collaborate with artists from many places in the world such as the United States, Canada, Holland, Spain etc and also mentor alot of young and upcoming artists in our country as well.The Blackberry unit allows me to stay in touch at all times..the BIS service makes sure I'm never out of Data and so im able to send and receive samples and projects between these artists and myself. i think without it id really be out of touch and sitting behind a computer these days isnt exactly the ideal situation for an artist that needs to be on the go all the time. 🙂

I feel that alot of people these days dont use their tech (being a cellphone/ipad/pc etc) to the max possible potential and this is where i go beyond the extra mile to make sure that i can get every single percentage of the equipment i use. The ability to multitask as an artist is absolutely essential and Blackberry allows me to do this in a variety of different ways. Also gotta mention that im a Huge fan of the Mercedes AMG F1 Race team who are sponsored by Blackberry!

An upgrade to the Blackberry Z30 would assist me in many ways,

Better Sound and video viewing quality, ability to make video calls on the go, this cellphone unit has more processing power than my current desktop computer so il be able to accomplish my tasks much faster, and the upgrade in camera and voice capturing would really assist with both making videos to share online and recording small samples on the go for when melodies and other ideas come to mind. The ability to also store more with both the 16gig on flash and a MicroSD hotswap port would be one of the best features on here..

Smart phones have been around for quite a long time, i already have a smart phone. This phone however is Intelligent. and id love the opportunity to own one 🙂
