PUBG PC Version 1.0 Details, Release Date for South Africa

Multiplayer survival shooter PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is set to be out on Steam Early Access shortly.  While the PUBG 1.0 release date was revealed as December 20 at The Game Awards 2017, developer PUBG Corp never quite revealed an exact PUBG 1.0 start time or gameplay changes. That’s not the case anymore.

The official PUBG Twitter account has confirmed PUBG 1.0 start time and release date. You can play PUBG 1.0 from 11pm PST on December 20. The South African PUBG 1.0 start time is 9am (GMT +2) on December 21.

PUBG 1.0 PC specifications
Developer PUBG Corp hasn’t given a recommended specification, instead sticking to a minimum requirement that hasn’t changed since the game hit Steam earlier in the year.

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i3-4340 / AMD FX-6300
  • Memory: 6GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB / AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 30GB available space

Solo first-person perspective mode (FPP) will be added to PUBG 1.0 in South America (SA) and Oceanic (OCE) servers. Though PUBG Corp warns that it could be tough to find FPP matches after it adds map selection (which has no concrete date yet). And keep in mind that FPP could be removed if it doesn’t have many takers in these regions.
