The Kings of Streetwear Release a New App for The Culture!

Sportscene, have released a mobile app to enhance the shopping experience for their customers. This online extension for the retailer allows for users to look through all the best local and international streetwear brands currently in their stores and online. The app is currently live and can be downloaded from Google Play and Apple App Stores. 

With people encouraged to stay away from public spaces due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many businesses have lost engagement with their clients. Although, the Sportscene app has become a convenient way for the retailer to always stay in touch with its loyal customer base. The app has also allowed for Sportscene to take part in the already growing trend of online shopping which is increasing in popularity in South Africa, further showcasing their innovative approach to customer service and experience.

Sportscene Ecommerce Manager, Ally Williams, expressed her thoughts on the feature by saying, “We’re excited to launch the Sportscene app! The app offers our customers, not only the ease of shopping our latest sneaker and clothing drops, but we offer some exciting features too! It’s shopping at your fingertips with tons of extras”

The app does not only offer the option to browse, buy clothing and the latest sneakers. A sneaker calendar is also included to inform their customers when the latest footwear will be dropping. It also offers users the ability to tune into Sportscene Radio! The youth driven digitally streaming radio gives the platform to hype the latest drops from international and local brands, featuring culture conversations and music from some of the hottest artists and DJs in South Africa.

Sportscene continues to grow its influence in the South African youth culture with elements such as their recording studio in Sandton City Mall store; Put Me On and Capsule Fest. The app is set to become another part of their growth as plans to add bigger and better features are underway which consumers are sure to love.
