Twitter Looking To Bring ‘Who Is Online’ Feature Along with Threaded Conversations

Twitter is looking to follow Facebook and roll out threaded conversations along with status indicators – showing who else is online among your followers on its platform.

In a tweet, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey stated on Friday that the micro-blogging platform will soon get interesting updates.

Dorsey tweeted “Playing with some new Twitter features: presence (who else is on Twitter right now?) and threading (easier to read convos).”

The “presence” feature will make it easier to engage with those you follow who are online at the moment while the “threading” feature would allow users to follow a conversation in a threaded manner.

Twitter was also spotted testing showing its users Unfollow suggestions. This feature is aimed at those who want a more relevant Twitter timeline and one way to do that is by unfollowing those whom they don’t engage with regularly. Although the limited scale test has concluded, it is not clear if the company has decided to bring a full-fledged version of the feature to all users.
