WhatsApp, the beloved messaging platform, is shaking up its Status feature! Currently, in beta testing, users will soon be able to share video clips of up to 60 seconds on their Status, effectively doubling the previous 30-second limit.
What’s New with WhatsApp Status?
- Longer Expressive Freedom: With 60 seconds at your disposal, you can share more detailed updates, thoughts, or slices of your day.
- Better for Videos: Capture longer moments without needing to break your story into multiple, shorter clips.
As of now, the longer 60-second Status updates are only available to beta testers on Android devices who have access to the latest WhatsApp beta version.
This update is likely to make WhatsApp Status even more engaging by offering:
- More in-depth storytelling: Users can share more complete narratives or reactions.
- Video-centric updates: Expect to see longer video moments pop up in your contacts’ Statuses.
There’s no official release date yet. Once the testing phase is complete and any issues are ironed out, the feature should roll out to all WhatsApp users across Android and iOS devices.
