Bafana Bafana Quarter-Final Road Closures

Bafana Bafana take on Mali on Saturday at Moses Mabhida Stadium in the AFCON Quarter-Final. Kick-off is at 8.30pm and organisers have encouraged fans to get to the stadium at least two hours beforehand to avoid traffic congestion.

Road closures from 9am:

•    Masabalala Yengwa (NMR) Avenue will be closed from Sandile Thusi (Argyle) Road up to Smiso Nkwanyana (Goble) Road.
•    Battery Beach Road will be closed from Suncoast Boulevard to Masabalala Yengwa (NMR) Avenue
•     Isaiah Ntshangase (Walter Gilbert) Road will also be closed between Umngeni Road and M4. Access from the M4 will only be permitted up to the Country Club.

Road closures from 4pm:

•    Somtseu Road will be closed from Stalwart Simelane (Stanger) Street to Masabala Yengwa Avenue
•    Masabalala Yengwa Avenue will further be closed from Sandile Thusi (Argyle) Road to K.E Masinga (Old Fort) Road.  However, some lanes will be open for vehicles travelling to and from Durban Station.

Parking:

•    Drive-Inn site parking for minibus taxis/ buses and general public (accessed via Brickhill Road)
•    Natal Command Site 1 and 2 for the general public (accessed from Brickhill Road at the traffic circle)
•    Paid parking at Suncoast Casino for the general public (accessed via Suncoast Boulevard)
•    Mr Price Stadium for general public (accessed via Goble Road and Jacko Jackson Avenue)
•    Mustering Field Parking for hospitality and commercial affiliates (accessed via Brickhill Road at the traffic circle)
•    Moses Mabhida Stadium is reserved for VVIP, media and broadcast teams only (accessed via the Remote Search Park at the Old Drive-Inn site in Brickhill Road)
•    Centrum Site for VIP and general public (accessed from Samora Machel (Aliwal) or Braam Fischer Street – free coach to the stadium from here)
•    Motorists can also park their vehicles at the Durban Station and board a train, free of charge, upon production of a valid Afcon ticket or accreditation.
