South African ultra-marathon champion Tete Dijana has won the 2025 Comrades Marathon, claiming his third down run title in the prestigious race. The competition, held on June 8, saw thousands of athletes tackling the 89.98km route from Pietermaritzburg to Durban.
Dijana, who previously won in 2022 and 2023, showcased exceptional endurance and pacing throughout the demanding course. His victory further solidifies his reputation as one of South Africa’s top ultra-distance runners.
The 2025 Comrades Marathon marked the 98th edition of the world’s oldest ultra-marathon, featuring over 22,000 participants aiming to complete the challenging course within the 12-hour cutoff.
